Privacy policy
This policy describes the information processed when you use FRENCH DIGITAL SOCIETY, the services involved and your rights.
Data controller
The controller for processing related to FRENCH DIGITAL SOCIETY is Alexis RZG, 66 avenue des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France. For questions about your data: contact@french-digital-society.com.
Data and purposes
The contact form collects the subject, your name, email address and message. This information is used to answer enquiries, review applications, resource suggestions or partnerships, and handle subscription requests. Required fields are marked; without this information, the form cannot process the enquiry.
Technical information, including IP address, access date and time, requested page and browser information, may be processed by hosting and security services to operate the website and prevent abuse. Avoid submitting sensitive data or unnecessary personal information.
Legal bases
Enquiries are processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in answering messages or, where a project requires it, pre-contractual steps taken at your request. Security and technical operation rely on the legitimate interest in protecting the service. Subscriptions to editorial communications rely on consent, which you may withdraw. Advertising trackers that require consent are subject to prior permission.
Recipients
Messages are intended for the owner and authorised persons handling them. Hosting and email providers may process information within their assigned tasks. Contact form content is not sold or shared with Google for advertising.
Google and, depending on the ads served, its advertising partners may process information needed for their services, as described below and in their own policies.
Retention
Enquiries and correspondence are kept for the time needed to handle them and follow up the relationship. Where a legal obligation or dispute requires it, relevant records may be archived for the applicable period. Technical information is kept for operational and security purposes according to its purpose and provider obligations. Google tracker durations depend on their use and are described in information provided by Google and by the consent mechanism when displayed.
Form protection
A temporary, strictly necessary technical cookie protects form submissions. It expires when the browser closes and is not used for advertising or analytics. A pseudonymised network-address fingerprint limits abusive submissions within a 15-minute window. Expired records are removed during the next check.
Google AdSense, cookies and advertising
The website integrates Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or other identifiers, IP addresses, browser and browsing information to serve ads, measure delivery and prevent fraud. When you consent to personalisation, information about your visits to this and other websites may be used to tailor advertisements.
Trackers that require consent must have prior, freely given and revocable permission. When a consent message is displayed, you may accept, refuse or adjust the available choices. Refusing personalisation does not necessarily mean no ads will be shown. You may also consult Google My Ad Center and your browser cookie settings; these do not replace website-specific consent choices.

Transfers and third-party services
Using third-party services, including Google, may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Applicable safeguards and processing arrangements are described in the relevant providers’ policies. External links lead to independent websites to which this policy does not apply.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions set out in applicable law, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing and provide instructions about your personal data after death under French law.
Send requests to contact@french-digital-society.com, including the information needed to locate the relevant correspondence. Identity verification may be requested where there is reasonable doubt. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your competent supervisory authority.
Security and policy updates
Technical and organisational measures are used to limit unauthorised access, loss and alteration. This policy may be updated to reflect services used and applicable rules; the update date is shown below.
