Data preparation tool

Check a CSV before importing it

Find empty fields and structural issues without uploading the file. Processing happens in this page, with no browser storage.

Choose the file and its format

UTF-8 CSV, up to 1 MiB and 20,000 data rows. The first row must contain unique, non-empty column names. Double-quoted fields may contain separators or line breaks.

What this check establishes

Completeness = non-empty cells / data rows × 100. A whitespace-only cell counts as empty; “0”, “unknown” or “N/A” counts as present text. Compare these conventions with your dictionary. Header-only files have no calculable completeness rate.

Duplicates are compared exactly after trimming surrounding whitespace. Case, accents and leading zeros stay distinct. Repetitions are candidates for review, not proof of identical entities.

This tool checks no factual accuracy, dates, reuse rights, business rules or spreadsheet formulas. It changes no data and retains no file after reloading. The report includes column names and counts, not original cell values.
